Which projects does this service suit?

Suitable if …

  • A physical product needs its first digital representation
  • Several later images should use the same geometry

Not suitable if …

  • You need CAD engineering verified for manufacturing
  • The project already involves a whole catalogue of different products
What this covers

How does my product become a usable 3D model?

A product photo shows only one perspective. For a 3D model, we also need the rear shape, depth and important transitions. We build the digital model from this. The package suits products such as an enclosure, lamp or simple furniture with clearly describable parts.

Before modelling, we define the file's intended use. A model for large detail images needs different detail from a small browser view. You receive the editable foundation. Finished renderings and website integration are separate steps that can be added later.

Shape, surface and output format belong together

Geometry describes shape. Materials determine whether a surface looks like painted metal, plastic or wood. Textures can add finer surface detail. A geometrically correct model may still look wrong if gloss, colour or material scale does not match your product.

We therefore first review a neutral shape preview, then materials. Missing dimensions are clarified as open points. The model is a visual representation and does not replace an engineering drawing. A later web view may need additional file-size optimisation.

Does this sound familiar?

Images from new perspectives are missing

Your photos show only a few angles. We check whether they, dimensions and material details reveal enough about shape and surface to model further views.

A product comes in several colours

Geometry stays the same while the surface changes. A cleanly structured model makes later variants easier; each is agreed separately.

No usable 3D file exists yet

Sketches, dimensions and reference photos exist, but no production file. We first assess whether the intended visual quality is achievable from them.

How we approach it.

  1. Define references and intended use

We review views, dimensions and material examples. We then record parts, visual fidelity, output format and intended use in writing.

  2. Agree shape and materials

An initial preview shows proportions and parts. After checking shape, we develop surfaces and complete the agreed shared correction round.

  3. Hand over organised files

You receive the editable source and an agreed exchange format. Parts and materials are named to keep further editing understandable.

After handover

The preview supports agreement on the model. It is not yet a finished advertising image with final lighting, background and crop; that is covered by the rendering package.

Visual fidelity also depends on references. Unknown internal surfaces or missing dimensions are clarified rather than presented as technically verified properties.

After your enquiry

What we clarify next.

Where should the product appear: in an image, a clip or an interactive view? Have existing model files, reference views and measurements ready for discussion.

Name the file type and clarify your usage rights. You do not need to send large files yet. We agree the transfer method after your enquiry.

Terms used in this service

What does that mean?

Geometry
The model's three-dimensional shape. It consists of surfaces and edges describing, for example, enclosures, openings and separate parts.
Material
A surface description in a 3D program. Colour, roughness and metallic properties affect how the model looks under particular lighting.
Source file
The editable working file containing the model structure. It allows later changes and differs from a finished image or compressed web export.
Before your enquiry

Questions about the offer.

What is included, what do you need and what happens after your enquiry?

The process in detail →
Are photos enough as a starting point?

For simple rigid products, several sharp views and reliable dimensions may suffice. Missing sides, transparent parts or complex surfaces need checking beforehand.

Can I supply an existing CAD file?

Yes. A usable CAD file may make new modelling unnecessary. We then check whether preparing an existing model is the more suitable offer.

Will I receive an editable file?

Yes, the agreed source file is part of handover. Exchange format and intended reuse are defined before starting so the file works in your subsequent process.

Is the model suitable for 3D printing?

This package does not promise that. Wall thickness, closed geometry, material requirements and manufacturing tolerances require separate technical review.

Are different product sizes included?

One variant is included. Further sizes may need a simple adjustment or a new model, depending on whether only dimensions or also parts and proportions change.

When does work begin?

We confirm the start and delivery deadline in writing after reviewing your documents. The agreed scope and complete source data determine the schedule.

Which access is needed?

Front, rear and side views plus reliable main dimensions Colour and surface references plus usage rights to the product design Credentials must not be included in the enquiry. Details are agreed only after written commissioning.

What happens after handover?

One written follow-up round is included. The service scope lists the analyses, designs or technical changes covered by the package. We agree additional work with you before it begins.
