Which projects does this service suit?

Suitable if …

  • A standard form is insufficient because of custom availability rules

Not suitable if …

  • Several locations and complex pricing or calendar rules must be represented immediately
  • An existing standard tool already meets the need completely

What this covers

How does selecting a time become a reliable booking?

A booking application must decide authoritatively whether a resource is still available. Two people can see the same free slot simultaneously. Availability is therefore checked again server-side at completion and the booking stored appropriately. A calendar interface alone is insufficient.

The package develops a limited flow for one resource type and fixed slots. It includes selection, data entry, confirmed status and internal administration. Opening-hour and cancellation rules are defined beforehand. Payment processing and complex calendar synchronisation are separate tasks.

Availability must be authoritative at completion

A free-slot display is a snapshot. Availability can change before completion. Backend logic must handle competing requests and return a clear rejection. Success appears only after the agreed persisted state.

We also clarify what completion means: is reservation immediately binding or awaiting internal confirmation? This affects status, messages and administration. The application uses the approved rule rather than inventing contract formation.

Does this sound familiar?

A form creates only non-binding preferences

You need an actual availability decision. Resources, slots and authoritative completion must be described clearly.

Several people access availability simultaneously

Concurrent requests are normal. The application must handle backend conflicts rather than trust the calendar view alone.

Internal administration should be included

Bookings must be reviewable or cancellable under agreed rules. A limited administration view therefore belongs to overall scope.

How we approach it.

  1. Define booking rules and resources

We define slots, opening hours, completion status and cancellation. One resource type and its units bound the initial package.

  2. Develop flow and administration

Interface, availability checks and storage are implemented together. A message describes the actual confirmed state through the agreed delivery method.

  3. Test conflicts and exceptions

Tests cover competing bookings, invalid periods and the agreed cancellation route. Handover explains maintenance and operational requirements.

After handover

The project includes required frontend and backend functions for the described booking scope. An extra form package for the same flow would usually duplicate work.

Business rules must fit your offer. Technical implementation does not automatically approve legal wording, special industry requirements or payment terms.

After your enquiry

What we clarify next.

Ask about this service ↗

Describe the intended function and an example of a successful process. Name existing systems and the roles involved without sharing real customer data or credentials.

After your enquiry, we clarify which data the function processes, which rules it must follow and which systems it must contact. Required documents and test access are agreed separately.

Terms used in this service

What does that mean?

Resource
The bookable unit, such as a room or device. A resource type describes units sharing the same basic booking rules.
Time slot
A bounded period for reserving a resource. Overlaps and allowed intervals must be checked server-side.
Competing bookings
Nearly simultaneous attempts to use the same availability. Authoritative completion must prevent contradictory confirmations.
Before your enquiry

Questions about the offer.

What is included, what do you need and what happens after your enquiry?

The process in detail →
Is online payment included?

No. Payment, refunds and payment status need additional flows and a suitable provider. They are planned separately if needed.

Can external calendars be synchronised?

Multi-calendar synchronisation is excluded. APIs, conflicts and delays need separate consideration.

Is every reservation binding immediately?

This is defined beforehand. The application can represent the agreed completion status; it must not falsely display a request as a confirmed booking.

Are recurring appointments possible?

Complex recurring bookings are outside base scope. Repetition, exceptions and partial cancellation alter rules and need separate definition.

Would a standard booking tool be cheaper?

If an existing tool covers your rules, integrating it may make more sense. Custom development is scoped only after reviewing specific requirements.

When does work begin?

We confirm the start and delivery deadline in writing after reviewing your documents. The agreed scope and complete source data determine the schedule.

Which access is needed?

Approved resources, time slots, opening hours and cancellation rule Suitable operating environment and existing or agreed delivery service Credentials must not be included in the enquiry. Details are agreed only after written commissioning.

What happens after handover?

One written follow-up round is included. The service scope lists the analyses, designs or technical changes covered by the package. We agree additional work with you before it begins.
