Which projects does this service suit?

Suitable if …

  • A known API or report responds too slowly
  • One specific server flow performs avoidable repeated work

Not suitable if …

  • The problem has not been separated into browser, network or server causes
  • A blanket high-load promise for the whole product is expected
What this covers

Why does my application wait so long for the server?

Long waits may come from database queries, repeated processing or external services. The package investigates one reproducible server flow and implements up to two suitable improvements. It uses measurements under stated conditions, not guesses based on a loading indicator.

We first identify where time is actually spent. Measures are then selected and compared with the same test case. The result may be a faster query or less duplicated work. If an external service determines the flow, that limit is stated visibly.

Measure, change and compare under equal conditions

One fast request proves little. Data volume, caches and concurrent use affect response time. We document the setup and compare the same flow before and after. Lab results are not presented as general production guarantees.

Not every speed improvement is acceptable to the business. Cached data can become stale; a simplified query must not omit necessary results. Measures are therefore checked against business requirements and protected through suitable regression tests.

Does this sound familiar?

One API is notably slow

A reproducible endpoint gives a clear starting point. We investigate its processing instead of replacing all infrastructure without measurement.

Data volume slows a flow

Queries may behave differently as data grows. Suitable test data should represent the agreed case and is described in the report.

A cache is proposed as a quick fix

Caching can help but needs freshness rules. We check whether it fits the business flow and which invalid states could arise.

How we approach it.

  1. Reproduce the slow flow

We define data, flow and measurement conditions. Baseline measurement separates time spent in queries, server logic and external services.

  2. Implement limited measures

Up to two agreed changes address the measured cause. Business results and access rules remain part of testing.

  3. Document comparison and limits

The same case is measured again. The report separates observed improvement from assumptions and identifies remaining bottlenecks.

After handover

The comparison applies to documented conditions. Other volumes, concurrent users or external dependencies may produce different response times.

Backend performance and visible loading time are connected but not identical. If browser code or media dominate page loading, that area needs separate investigation.

After your enquiry

What we clarify next.

Ask about this service ↗

Describe the intended function and an example of a successful process. Name existing systems and the roles involved without sharing real customer data or credentials.

After your enquiry, we clarify which data the function processes, which rules it must follow and which systems it must contact. Required documents and test access are agreed separately.

Terms used in this service

What does that mean?

Response time
Time until a defined server response. Measurement point and conditions must be stated for meaningful comparison.
Profiling
Investigating which parts of a process consume time or resources. It directs measures towards actual measured causes.
Cache
Temporary storage for reusable results. It can avoid work but needs rules for when stored data becomes invalid.
Before your enquiry

Questions about the offer.

What is included, what do you need and what happens after your enquiry?

The process in detail →
Do you guarantee a response time?

No general guarantee is given. Target, test conditions and observed results are documented specifically; infrastructure and usage remain relevant influences.

Is a database index always the answer?

No. An index may support suitable queries but add write overhead. The measure follows the measured flow and data model.

Are real load tests performed?

A limited comparison measurement is included. Extensive load and stress testing needs its own load profile and expressly suitable test infrastructure.

Can an external service be the cause?

Yes. If its waiting time determines the flow, this is stated. Changes to call order or error handling are implemented only within agreed scope.

Are production systems put under load?

Measurements and changes use the agreed suitable environment. Stressful production testing is not performed without express agreement.

When does work begin?

We confirm the start and delivery deadline in writing after reviewing your documents. The agreed scope and complete source data determine the schedule.

Which access is needed?

A reproducible slow flow, test data and suitable test environment Access to relevant server measurements and affected code Credentials must not be included in the enquiry. Details are agreed only after written commissioning.

What happens after handover?

One written follow-up round is included. The service scope lists the analyses, designs or technical changes covered by the package. We agree additional work with you before it begins.
