What this covers

Do users understand what our buttons and messages mean?

A button says ‘Continue’ but already sends the submission. An error identifies a problem without explaining how to fix it. We revise such copy for the actual action and displayed state.

UX writing means text within a digital interface: field names, guidance, buttons, empty views and error messages. The package revises no more than 30 German text elements totalling a maximum of 500 words within one journey of up to five screens. Actual actions and product rules must be known.

Precise language must match real behaviour

Clear text states what happens after an action. It must not claim success the system has not confirmed. We therefore compare intended states before revision. A saved-enquiry message, for example, needs a different basis from a message saying delivery was merely attempted.

You receive revised copy with brief explanations and a terminology list. This helps your team avoid naming the same object differently in different places. One consolidated correction round is included. SEO articles, campaigns, translations and legal texts are different writing tasks outside this package.

Does this sound familiar?

A button leaves its consequence unclear

The final step says ‘Continue’. Does clicking already submit the enquiry or open a review? We write the button so the actual action is clear beforehand.

Error messages do not help

‘Something went wrong’ appears above the form. The affected field and how to correct it remain unclear. We write feedback matching the known error state.

Different terms name the same thing

The menu says ‘Enquiry’, but confirmation says ‘Order’. We align terms with the actual process and record the chosen wording in a terminology list.

How we approach it.

  1. Understand the journey and actual states

We clarify which task the copy supports and which screens belong to it. The conditions behind each message must be known. An elegant sentence is useless if it claims success not yet technically confirmed.

  2. Revise copy in context

We review up to 30 field labels, hints, buttons and messages together. Brief reasons accompany changes so your team can assess wording in product context.

  3. Agree terminology and corrections

We record important product terms in a list and incorporate feedback in one consolidated correction round. Scope stays limited to the agreed journey; further pages, legal texts and campaigns are excluded.

Design drafts, a yellow colour swatch and material samples on a light worktable.

After handover

Check the new copy in its intended interface, including invalid input and a narrow view. Does the message match the triggered state? Is a wrapped button still clear? Such feedback belongs in the consolidated correction round.

If information order itself is unresolved, a user journey with a prototype may be useful first. Labels already included in a design package are not charged again as an extra service. A separate copy package needs clearly identified scope beyond that.

After your enquiry

What we clarify next.

Ask about this service ↗

Note the product question you want to clarify and the current state: idea, design or usable application. We discuss this after receiving your enquiry.

For interviews and tests, we agree participant selection and the handling of research data in advance. You do not need personal interview data or confidential project documents for the first contact.

Terms used in this service

What does that mean?

Microcopy
Short interface text, such as field names, button labels and hints. It explains the action or helps correct an entry.
Empty state
A view without expected content, such as an empty saved list. The text explains why nothing appears and how to populate the area.
Terminology list
Agreed names for functions and states. It helps a non-binding enquiry have the same name in the form, confirmation and account.
Before your enquiry

Questions about the offer.

What is included, what do you need and what happens after your enquiry?

The process in detail →
Do you also write SEO copy and blog articles?

This package covers short interface copy. Articles, campaigns and extensive website text are excluded. Elements are limited beforehand to one journey and the described scope.

Do you need a finished design?

An existing interface or agreed design is required. Actions and product rules must also be known. Only then can we judge which guidance is accurate in a particular state.

Can you make technical error messages clearer?

Yes, where actual error behaviour and possible responses are known. The new message should explain what the person can do. It does not replace a technical fix or claim success when a process failed.

Which texts belong to the package?

German field labels, guidance, buttons, empty states and error messages within one user journey are included. Limits are up to five screens, no more than 30 text elements and a maximum total of 500 words. The elements to revise are defined beforehand.

What is an empty state?

A view without matching content or data yet. Its text can explain why nothing appears and which next step is possible. Wording must match the actual state and must not confuse missing data with success.

How do I provide the necessary information?

Agreed screens, existing copy and a description of their conditions help. For errors and confirmations especially, the actual state must be understandable. Unresolved technical or business conditions are clarified before final wording.

Who adds the copy to the application?

The package delivers revised copy and context. Technical insertion is not automatically included. Your team can apply wording using the associated screens and then check that it appears correctly in actual states.

When does work begin?

Text scope and the work window are defined in writing before commissioning.

Which access is needed?

An existing interface or agreed design Intended actions and actual product rules are confirmed Screens and texts to revise are selected in advance Credentials must not be included in the enquiry. Details are agreed only after written commissioning.

What happens after handover?

One written follow-up round is included. The service scope lists the analyses, designs or technical changes covered by the package. We agree additional work with you before it begins.
