What this covers

Where should I improve my online shop first?

You want to rework your shop and need to decide where to start. We follow one purchase journey and bring in existing analytics data. This lets us investigate an observed usability problem alongside the relevant figures.

We review a defined purchase journey and up to three agreed page types using one analytics property over a specified period. The report distinguishes visible findings from possible explanations and identifies a next test.

Turning data and observations into specific tasks

We start with a decision, such as mobile product presentation. We relate available data to the purchase journey examined. Missing measurement points are identified in the report and considered in recommendations.

For each finding, we identify the shop location, the basis for the assessment and what can be checked next. The purchase journey check is included; you do not need to select it again for the same area.

Does this sound familiar?

You have data but no clear next task

The analysis shows a decline between product page and basket. The team has several explanations. We place the purchase journey beside the data and look for specific points to investigate.

After a change, interpretation remains open

The variant selector has been rebuilt. You now want to compare current usability with existing figures. We also check whether the same thing was measured before and after the change.

You don't want a complete relaunch based on guesswork

A new shop is being discussed although it remains unclear where the existing journey fails. The diagnosis investigates the agreed section and identifies findings that justify a change.

How we approach it.

  1. Define the purchase journey and data baseline

We define page types, purchase journey, period and analytics property. Known changes, campaigns or differences in offers are recorded as context.

  2. Examine interface and data side by side

We go through shop information, selection and feedback and compare them with the agreed data. The report separates supported connections from hypotheses. An anomaly alone does not establish its cause.

  3. Explain the next steps

The report organises findings and states what can be checked or changed next. A relaunch is not an automatic recommendation; implementation is outside this analysis package.

After handover

Add prioritised findings to your planning and retain the reasoning alongside each task. If a recommendation is still based on a hypothesis, plan the appropriate test. This keeps the reason for starting a change visible later.

A full analytics data check is not included. If the measurement baseline itself needs investigation, we clarify that additional scope before commissioning.

After your enquiry

What we clarify next.

Ask about this service ↗

After your enquiry, we choose the purchase journey together. Consider which product and selection cause difficulties, such as a size, an accessory or the move into the basket.

Recurring questions help us understand the issue. Describe them without customer data. If analytics data is needed, we agree the period and access with you afterwards.

Terms used in this service

What does that mean?

Purchase journey
A sequence of pages and decisions while shopping, such as moving from a product overview through size selection into the basket. We define the section examined before the diagnosis.
Hypothesis
A possible explanation for an observation. For example, ‘The measurements are overlooked’ can be checked through a selection task. Until then, it remains an assumption.
Page type
A group of similarly structured pages with the same task, such as product pages or categories. We select specific examples from these for investigation.

Questions about the offer.

What is included, what do you need and what happens after your enquiry?

The process in detail →
How does this differ from the purchase journey check?

The purchase journey check qualitatively reviews one product page and the basket. The shop diagnosis covers a larger agreed purchase journey and includes existing analytics data. The smaller check's qualitative scope is already included.

Is the diagnosis useful without existing measurement data?

The described package requires existing data. Without that baseline, a purchase journey check may be a better first investigation. We do not sell missing measurement as insight already available.

Is this already an A/B test?

No. The diagnosis suggests next tests but does not run a comparison of two live variants. Test planning, technical setup, duration and evaluation would need separate agreement.

Is a complete tracking review included?

No. Looking at one property in the diagnosis context does not automatically cover the full analytics data check. If event definitions and data quality need their own investigation, that scope is clarified before commissioning. The same preparation should not be charged twice.

Which shop systems are suitable?

The enquiry starts with your purchase journey, not a prescribed system. Name your shop system and available data environment. Before commissioning, we check whether the agreed section is accessible and analysable. This does not create a blanket integration or implementation guarantee.

Does the diagnosis establish why customers abandon purchases?

It describes findings and reasoned hypotheses. Individual motivations cannot be established reliably from interfaces and measurement data alone. Interviews or user tests suit some questions better. The report states these limits rather than presenting every correlation as an explanation.

When does work begin?

The work window is confirmed in writing before commissioning. Work starts once all required materials are available.

Which access is needed?

An existing shop with usable analytics data A defined purchase journey and a specific decision question Aggregated exports or authorised read access only after commissioning Credentials must not be included in the enquiry. Details are agreed only after written commissioning.

What happens after handover?

One written follow-up round is included. The service scope lists the analyses, designs or technical changes covered by the package. We agree additional work with you before it begins.
